Delivering the latest in digitally enhanced audio, extra programming and advanced data services, Audi of America today announced that it will offer HD Radio Technology as a standard feature on some of its 2011 models, including the A6, A8 and Q7. HD Radio Technology will also be available via the optional navigation radio in the 2011 A4, A5 and Q5 models. All models will be available at U.S. Audi dealerships by Fall 2010.

Readers of the motoring magazine "Auto Zeitung" have voted three Audi models top of their classes in the "Auto Trophy 2009." More than 104,000 readers took part in the poll. The Audi A5 Sportback, Audi R8 Spyder and Audi Q5 picked up three of the year’s most coveted awards in the readers’ poll. Audi also took first place in the Image Report for car brands for the sixth time in a row. The brand with the four rings has now won the coveted prize of the "Auto Trophy" 43 times in the award’s 22-year history. The prizes were awarded yesterday evening during a gala event at Berlin’s Meilenwerk.

Germany’s Bild am Sonntag newspaper has awarded a Golden Steering Wheel to its choice of best midsize vehicle: the new Audi A5 Sportback, the third model from Audi’s successful core model line based on the modular longitudinal platform. The Audi A5 Sportback’s victory constitutes the 18th award presented to a vehicle with the four rings in the 34-year history of the competition. Audi is thus the most successful brand in the competition.

The German Design Council has announced it will present a 2010 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Audi A5 Coupé – and the vehicle’s creator is elated. In the eyes of Walter de Silva, Head of Design for the Volkswagen Group since 2007 and previously Head of Audi Design, one thing is certain: “The Audi A5 Coupé is the most beautiful car I’ve ever designed and is well on its way to becoming a design icon. I’m therefore thrilled by this accolade, as it also validates my hard work.” This most prestigious of all official design awards in Germany will be presented as part of the opening ceremony of the International Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt on February 12, 2010.

The German Design Council is to honor the Audi A5 Coupé with a 2010 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. This is the fourth time that an Audi model has won this most prestigious of all official German design awards. Visitors to the world premiere of the Audi A5 were greeted by "A yelled hello". The name of the band "Yello" derives from these three words. Boris Blank and Dieter Meier, both from Switzerland, compose electronic music from sounds samples and are providing the musical backdrop to Audi's press event during the Geneva Motor Show. Their compositions are furthermore a foretaste of Yello's new album, which is set to be released this year.
